You want to learn to improvise over a jazz standard, but don't know where to start?
This 2nd module focuses on the root progression of a jazz standard.
In this no-nonsense approach I give you concrete exercises and guidance on how to get you scatting:
We will practice the root progression through:
· Changing the rhythm
· Using scat syllables
· Introducing upper and lower neighbor
· Doing some fun phone recording
· Trading 4s!
We will practice all of the above with the song "Fly Me To The Moon", a classic jazz standard, if there ever was one!
This course is the second in a series of four, so fear not, you will be able to go much deeper into vocal improvisation.
Are you ready to finally get a solid, no nonsense education on how to master vocal improvisation over a jazz standard? Enroll now!
